Dear Foi (or for me, I’ll always remember you as Steffi since that’s how I’ve always known you), It’s been around 23 years after I’ve first met you and I just can’t believe how time had flown and we were both in our thirties when we met for the first time in decades, during Mon’s wedding last year in March. I still remember how you were deciding whether to sing at the wedding or not, and also what song to sing. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that you picked one of my favorite Disney songs (such a nice coincidence haha) and you did such a great job in singing it, despite how nervous you were. I will always remember this in my memory, this scene of you singing “I see the light” at that beautiful wedding night in Myanmar, as well as all those memories of you in primary school, calling me Ci Hoshika and following Mon and I around. It gave me such an ego boost to have someone look up to me and address me like that back when I didn’t have view all
Dearest Foii, my heart aches to hear of your passing. There is no doubt that you’ll be dearly missed, you’ll always be remembered as the cheerful and energetic person we all know. Rest well my dear friend. Love, Yogi.
